If it is not installed, the PIA daemon will fail to start during installation, and attempting to run it manually will result in a link error stating that wlanapi.dll is missing.įor your Windows Server 2019, you can install WLAN support so PIA 2.8.1 will work: PIA 2.8.1+ requires the WLAN API, which is an optional component in Windows Server. Please know we do not support any Windows Server as well as any Virtual machines ( VM ).

If you attempted to follow these instructions and games still do not work, then delete the entire Flashpoint folder, and extract the Compressed (zipped) Flashpoint folder again. Got this back from PIA and it resolved my problem first try. The antivirus issue will now be resolved, and the games will work. I too have Windows Server 2019, but failed to install Wireless LAN Service in any possible way (typically giving a missing assemblies error). Thank you so MUCH!! I'd been trying to sort this out for months!įinding this post pointed me in the right direction, although I still had troubles.posting here to hopefully save someone else weeks of on and off troubleshooting.
